Welcome to the brand new COFFS HARBOUR CITY ORCHESTRA website!

The world of orchestral music – thrilling, fun and hard work. Playing in an orchestra is a bit like moving into a street where everybody is from a different culture and speaks a different language – we’re all different but we all have the same goal. A trumpet player thinks a mute is either his hand or a metal cone, while a string player knows it’s a tiny piece of wood stuck on the bridge - woodwind players think it’s a deaf person.

Coffs Harbour City Orchestra is a community orchestra made up of people who enjoy making music. The orchestra welcomes players of all ages. You do not have to be a world class instrumentalist....but you do have to enjoy playing music...

Coffs Orchestra is also currently in receipt of grants for specific projects from Arts NSW via Orchestras Australia and also from Coffs City Council.

NEXT CONCERT: The Orchestra Christmas concert will be on Sunday 7 December at the Salvation Army Hall in Mastracolas Rd (the hill behind Home Base). Concert performance from 3-4.15pm, followed by afternoon tea.
